The exhibition brings together the work of **60 artists from 11 countries**, spanning **12 different glass disciplines**. *FIFTEEN X FIFTEEN* celebrates the remarkable diversity and innovation of contemporary glass. Every artwork has been created to a single brief, measuring no larger than **15 × 15 × 15 cm,** proving that the boldest ideas often come in the smallest forms.

Start this class as a beginner and leave as a glass-making addict. In this full day workshop, you will learn each step of the glass blowing process from experienced and encouraging glassmaking experts in their inspiring studio! 

With all of the materials, supplies and equipment needed to make your own glass provided in this workshop, learning to blow glass couldn’t be easier. 

Although you’re building your technical skills, there’s still room in this workshop for creativity- after all, you're learning from top glass-blowing artists! With all the colours you could dream of, get experimental and let your imagination take the reins to style your glass. In the beginning of this workshop, you will learn how to prepare different colour and texture techniques to apply to your glass pieces. 

You will be able to make a bowl or paperweight and choose a final form from the following list of functional objects:
- Drinking glass
- Vase
- Decorative bauble

Master how to safely and confidently heat molten glass in an 1100-degree furnace, which you will then gather and remove from the furnace using historical hand-forged tools. Make sure you’re full of hot air for the next step! Once you have perfected removing your glass from the furnace, it’s time to learn how to sculpt and blow your own glass. 

After a hard and hot graft, it’s time to chill out! Cooling your glass is equally as fascinating and important as heating your glass, at the end of the workshop, you will learn how to safely and properly cool your glass like a professional. 

Many students learn best through a combination of demonstrations and a hands-on interactive teaching approach. This workshop is no exception! You will watch a demonstration and then safely learn more about each step in the glass-blowing process by having a go yourself.

Not only will you get to take your three perfect and personalised glass pieces home at the end of the workshop, you will also be leaving with a full understanding of the glass-making process and techniques, as well as a burning hunger to create more gorgeous glass.

From the moment I arrived, I knew it was going to be a great day! We were all made to feel so very welcome, like Bethany was just happy sharing hot shop with us newbies. A perfect combination of  relaxed and fun but with the right amount of technical info thrown in.  Bethany's passion and skill shines through when she's demonstrating  (and talking at the same time, she makes it look so easy!) and everyone in the group was able to achieve some fabulous glass objects to treasure forever. A truly once in a lifetime experience! 
If you thought glassblowing was only for people with strong muscles, it's just the weight of the broom, and it's a beautiful art full of gentle movement working with this wonderful material. This course was a full day of making and helping in a small group and taking home you own design. The lunch was fab, the fun with the experts and people was great, high highly high recommends this course if you fancy learning glass blowing!!!

The full day beginner masterclass was a fabulous experience. I'd wanted to try glass blowing for a long time and finally had the opportunity. 

I was in a group of 5 and the instructor, Katie had an assistant, Olivia. Katie was brilliant. It was obvious that she was very experienced and talented. She was hyper aware of what was going on around her, with 5 complete novices to keep an eye on and she kept us all super safe - no injuries from the extremely hot furnaces and glass. The instruction was spot on and was delivered confidently and with humour. I was feeling very tired by the end of the 6 hours, while Katie was alert to the end.

The lunch was a lovely buffet style and gave us a chance to chat and learn about what had brought us all to Blowfish at the Red House Glass Cone for this experience. I am a local though 2 participants had travelled from Warwick and another from Germany! 

I am excited to collect my 3 finished pieces in a couple of weeks to see how the colours turn-out when they have cooled. I thoroughly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to experience glass blowing or any creative glass activity.

What an incredible experience! We were welcomed with a brew and friendly chat followed by health and safety, Beth is a great teacher, demonstrating and then supporting us one to one. We were able to make a paperweight, a bowl and a vase or glass. We could select our colour for the glass as well.

The studio is lovely and gets very warm. Lunch is provided but take your own drinks and snacks for in between.

As this is a 1:1 activity there is a lot of watching others and taking it all in,  so prepare to get comfy. Toilets are on site and a cafe and souvenir shop. Parking is free and right opposite the studio.

My glassware was received in the post 5 days later, brilliant!

I cannot recommend this experience and Blowfish highly enough, such an incredible experience, thank you so much Beth!

I had the joy of attending the April class.
I love glass and colour and blowing glass has been on my wish list for a long time.
Bethany is an excellent teacher ....knowledgeable, patient and enthusiastic.  There were 5 in our group.... she guided each of us individually in the making of 3 pieces each.
The setting is also wonderful....full of character,  lots to see, a great cafe and tables by the canal to rest. Bethany also provided a good picnic lunch which we ate by the canal.
It's less than 24 hours since attending this class and I'm already looking at dates to do another one!
